The AN/PEQ-2 does not have the safety block, but the peq 2AN/PEQ-2A does (or can).
I’ve seen a lot of Peq-2’s with corrosion. Use lithium or take the battery out if it’s a personal item. Idk why, maybe it’s heating and cooling of the battery when on a rifle, but I feel like batteries inside PEQ-2’s cause corrosion way faster and more often than any other regular item I’ve used alkaline batpeq 2teries in.
